Consignment Contract / Agreement
Greenhaven Mercantile lists merchandise on various ONLINE ONLY platforms for best exposure to include: Greenhavenmerc.com, eBay, Poshmark, and Mercari.
Consignor Splits are based on the actual selling price of the item minus any platform fees and shipping costs: 60% consignor/40% store
Greenhaven Mercantile sets the price based on comps from similar items being sold in the marketplace. The consignor has no say in pricing. All consigned merchandise is subject to special sale discounts and regular markdowns at any time. Greenhaven Mercantile requires a 90 day minimum to sell the item before the consigner can request unsold items to be returned. Greenhaven Mercantile prefers to keep items for as long as they take to sell (for unique or high end items, it can take time to find the right buyer). If at some point Greenhaven Mercantile decides to purge inventory not selling, it is the consignor’s responsibility to respond to Greenhaven Mercantile’s request to make arrangements for pick up or drop off of any expired items. Items that are expired and have not been picked up within 30 days of request are the property of Greenhaven Mercantile. Greenhaven Mercantile is not responsible for any consigned merchandise that is lost, damaged or stolen. Consignor warrants that they own and have complete title to the merchandise. Greenhaven Mercantile is in no way responsible for any claim on the consignor’s items.
Depending on what platform the item sells, fees and shipping costs are subtracted from the sold price. This fee/shipping expense is subtracted first and then the result is divided between the store and consignor split. See real client consignment sale examples from the various platforms:

Greenhaven Mercantile is an online only store. Safe meetups are arranged via text message and merchandise is inspected off site and not always the same day. Consignors must bring a minimum of 20 items. Clothing must be freshly laundered. Any clothing with major flaws (i.e., stains, holes, shrinking or otherwise considered unsellable) will be emailed to consignor with the option to have returned, donated to charity, or donated to Greenhaven Mercantile to be mended and sold by Greenhaven Mercantile at no payout to consignor.
Accepted merchandise will be processed into inventory at a later time, usually within a week but sometimes longer during the busy seasons. Greenhaven Mercantile holds and stores all items. Greenhaven Mercantile is not responsible for any consigned merchandise that is lost, damaged or stolen.
Payment: Consignor is paid via Zelle or Venmo. List of items sold/breakout of fees can be sent via e-mail by request.
